1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or completing the AI Consultation, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Body In Balance UK ("we", "us", "our"), trading from 32 Great North Road, Welwyn Garden City, UK, operated by Christopher A. Pickard, B.Sc, D.C. (chiropractor and clinical nutritionist — not a medical doctor)

2. What this service is

The AI Consultation is an online questionnaire-based tool that walks you through an adapted version of the same nutrition and metabolic intake Chris Pickard uses in his clinic, scores your responses against the Cell Blueprint framework, and provides a summary picture of your symptoms and biology with a "starting place" recommendation drawn from Chris Pickard's published Biological Foundations document.

In future versions (clearly labelled), the service will also provide AI-generated personalised action plans, with an optional paid upgrade for Chris Pickard's personal review.

3. Not medical advice

The AI Consultation does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment.

It is an educational and informational tool. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical practitioner. Your use of the service does not create a doctor-patient relationship with Chris Pickard unless you separately book a paid consultation with him.

You agree:

Not to rely solely on the service for any decision about your health
To seek qualified medical advice for any concern that requires diagnosis or treatment
To call emergency services for any urgent symptom (UK: 999 or 111)

4. Eligibility

To use this service you must be 18 years or older, have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements, and provide accurate, current, and complete information when asked.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping the email address you use to authenticate secure, notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access, and the accuracy of the information you submit.

We use magic-link email authentication (no passwords). Anyone with access to your email inbox can access your account; please secure your email accordingly.

You may delete your account at any time from your account page.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service for anyone other than yourself
Misrepresent your identity, age, or health status
Attempt to interfere with, probe, scan, or test the security of the service
Attempt to access another patient's data
Use any automated means (bots, scrapers) to interact with the service
Reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from the service without our written permission

7. Intellectual property

Our content — the AI Consultation interface, copy, design, the Cell Blueprint scoring logic as implemented in this service, Chris Pickard's protocols, and all branding are owned by Body In Balance UK and protected by UK and international copyright and trade-mark law.

This AI Consultation does not administer the full third-party assessments below. It uses a derived, partial implementation in this online tool; the full original assessments are used by Chris Pickard with patients during in-clinic 1-to-1 consultations under their respective licences.

Cell Blueprint scoring framework — our 30 sub-scale Provide/Protect/Promote/Purpose model is derived from and inspired by the Cell Blueprint Symptom Assessment by Dr Bryan Walsh (Metabolic Fitness Pro, © 2019), with Chris Pickard's added Purpose pillar. Only a streamlined, deduplicated subset of questions is used here; the full Cell Blueprint Symptom Assessment and the 23-page Nutrition & Metabolic Intake are used by Chris with patients in his clinic, not in this online tool.
QEESI screening items — selected items inspired by the Quick Environmental Exposure and Sensitivity Inventory (QEESI) by Dr Claudia Miller, University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, are referenced. The full QEESI instrument is administered by Chris with patients in clinic only and is not redistributed by this service.

Your content — any free-text responses you provide remain yours. By using the service you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process your responses solely for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

The AI Consultation is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce particular results for any user.

We are not liable for any decision you take, or fail to take, based on the service's output; any health outcome arising from your reliance on the service rather than qualified medical care; any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business opportunity arising from your use of the service; or any third-party content linked from the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

For any liability we may have, our total liability to you in connection with the service is limited to £100 or the amount you have paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Body In Balance UK against any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your provision of false or misleading information through the service, or your misuse of the service or its content.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, if your use of the service poses a risk, or if we discontinue the service (we will give 30 days' notice where reasonably possible).

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

11. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms from time to time. We will email you in advance of any material change. Your continued use of the service after the change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
